Job Description of a Residential Care Aide:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Caregiver to provide overnight supervision and support for three elderly residents (65+). This is a low-intensity role in a smoke-free home environment with no heavy lifting or meal preparation required. The residents are mobile and primarily need monitoring and companionship. Prior caregiving experience is not required.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Residential Care Aide:
  • Overnight Supervision – Ensure residents are safe throughout the night.
  • Activity Monitoring – Observe movement and assist if necessary.
  • Assist with Basic Needs – Offer minimal support, such as reminders or helping with small tasks.
  • Respond to Emergencies – Notify appropriate contacts if an issue arises.
  • Maintain a Clean & Quiet Environment – Ensure the home remains peaceful and tidy during the shift.
  • Light Assistance as Needed – Help with minor tasks (e.g., handing items, light housekeeping).
  • Provide Companionship – Engage in brief conversations if residents need reassurance.
  • Treat residents with dignity and respect.

Minimum Qualifications & Expectations of a Residential Care Aide:
  • Reliability & Dependability – Must be punctual and able to commit to scheduled shifts and have reliable transportation.
  • Attentiveness – Ability to monitor residents' activity and respond if needed.
  • Calm & Compassionate Demeanor – A caring attitude to ensure residents feel safe and comfortable.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with residents and family members.
  • Clean Background Check – Must pass a background screening.
  • Clean Drug Screen – Must pass a drug test.
  • Non-Smoker – This is a smoke-free environment.
