Kennel Assistant
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a DEPENDABLE Full-Time Kennel Assistant to join our expanded boarding facilities. Share in our commitment to exceptional service for clients and top-tier care for pets—both boarded and hospitalized. You’ll help ensure a clean, healthy environment and support overall clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Feed, walk, and care for hospitalized and boarding animals
Monitor and record animal condition, behavior, and habits
Clean kennels, runs, treatment/exam/lab/surgery areas, and hospital grounds
Assist with animal restraint and treatment when needed
Maintain kennel inventory (food, cleaning/laundry supplies, etc.)
Manage laundry and ensure a clean, organized facility throughout the day
Notify veterinary staff of any unusual behavior or medical issues
Support the veterinarian, receptionist, and tech team in daily operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Strong communication and judgment skills
Previous kennel experience preferred, but not required
Basic computer skills are a plus
