Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Worker to support the overall upkeep and functionality of campus facilities. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who enjoys a variety of tasks and working as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up chairs and tables for scheduled meetings or class functions
  • Perform minor remodeling tasks, including sheetrock work, door installation, surface preparation, scraping, and painting
  • Conduct routine electrical or mechanical repairs
  • Perform grounds-keeping duties such as mowing, weeding, and trimming
  • Assist in unloading deliveries as appropriate
  • Pick up authorized purchases from local vendors as directed by the Facilities Manager
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored after use
  • Request additional hand tools when shared use becomes inefficient
  • Support janitorial tasks as needed
  • Report issues to the Facilities Manager that arise or become apparent while performing routine work
  • Participate in staff training sessions as required by OSHA
  • Submit ideas for cost savings through energy conservation, improved efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • At least two (2) years of general maintenance experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with staff, students, vendors, and contractors
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work effectively as part of a team
